Talline Martins, Ph.D.

Dr. Talline Martins is Director of the Office of Graduate Professional Development (OGPD) within the University of Florida Graduate School.
She is an alumna of Western Michigan University (Bachelor of Science in Biology, 2005) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics, 2011). After graduation, she conducted research in biology at Duke University as a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow (2011-2014).
Her prior experience includes employment at the University of Nevada, Reno as Director of its Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives and Graduate Recruitment.
In her current role at the Graduate School since 2018, she oversees the operations of the Office of Graduate Professional Development, developing and coordinating initiatives that help UF graduate students to set professional goals, develop core competencies to complete their degrees successfully, and acquire skills and tools for their transition into the workforce — with an eye toward leveraging their degrees for diverse career paths, within or outside of academia.
