The UF/SFC Faculty Development Project is a partnership between the University of Florida and local Santa Fe College that aims to broaden representation among SFC faculty while providing valuable teaching experience to UF doctoral students who...
- Are historically low-income.
- Are first-generation.
- Were or are are homeless, as defined by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
- Were or are in the foster care system, as defined by the Administration for Children and Families.
- Were eligible for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program for two or more years.
- Were or are eligible for Federal Pell Grants.

- A $16,000 stipend for nine months
- In-state tuition
- Fee waiver
- Health insurance
...plus an additional amount from Santa Fe College.
Eligibility & Requirements
- You must fit one of the criteria listed above.
- You must have passed your qualifying exams and declared as a PhD candidate in GIMS.
- You must be a United States citizen or permanent resident, or an international student with a J1 visa.
- You must be enrolled and in good standing in a UF doctoral degree program.
- You must meet Santa Fe College's criteria for hiring adjunct faculty.
- If you are selected, you must submit a Santa Fe College job application.
Deadlines & Critical Dates
- May 1, 2024: Application cycle opens
- June 7, 2024: Application cycle closes at 5 p.m.
