The Graduate School at the University of Florida held its first Fall Open House for UF campus coworkers on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
Amid a convivial atmosphere laden with Halloween sweets and treats, graduate associate deans, coordinators, and staff roamed the first-floor hallways of Grinter Hall to check out the Graduate School’s facilities, acquaint themselves with its units, and mingle with members of Team Grad School to get a better sense of who we are and what we do.
“Given how extensive UF’s graduate education enterprise is across campus, we work with each other, but often never get to meet each other,” noted Dr. Nicole Stedman, Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School (pictured left). “Hosting casual events like this is a real joy. It gives us all a chance to see the faces of the people who work behind the scenes from both ends of the equation.”
But one need not wait for a special event like this Open House to visit the Graduate School’s home base in Grinter Hall. Just curious or need to meet with Graduate School staff in person? Drop in anytime! For a map and directions, click here: UF Graduate School. We look forward to seeing you!
