What We Do

From admission to graduation, Student Records serves UF graduate students.

The Graduate Student Records Office at the University of Florida Graduate School (116 Grinter Hall) monitors your academic performance and certifies your fulfillment of all graduation requirements when you finish your graduate degree program.

Conditional and Special Exception Admissions

Our Graduate Student Records Office reviews and makes decisions on requests from UF departments, schools, and colleges for admission to their graduate degree programs when applicants do not meet minimum requirements for direct admission.

Transfers of Credit

Our Graduate Student Records Office also processes requests from UF departments, schools, and colleges to apply course credit from other higher education institutions or degree programs toward their students’ UF graduate degree curricular requirements.

Petitions

In addition, our Graduate Student Records Office handles petitions from UF departments, schools, and colleges for special exceptions to University of Florida academic standards and curricular requirements due to extenuating circumstances beyond the student’s control.

Degree Certification

Finally, once you finish your graduate degree program and submit a degree application for graduation, our Graduate Student Records Office reviews your academic records to confirm that you have met all UF Graduate Council minimum requirements for graduation with your diploma. If you have questions about this process, please contact your home academic unit on campus for advisement.
