Dr. Varsha Bhaskaran works at the intersection of urban ecology and social science to unearth the human dimensions of urban green spaces: how people interact with them and how those relationships shape biodiversity, socio-ecological infrastructure, and ecosystem services across socio-economic gradients in rapidly urbanizing tropical cities such as Bangaluru, India, the focus of her Ewel Postdoctoral Fellowship research.
