What We Do
Learn about the vision, mission, and values that drive the UF Graduate School’s work.

The Graduate School at the University of Florida is invested in your success — whether you’re a student, postdoc, faculty member, or staffer. Through conscientious support, strategy, and stewardship of resources, we aim to optimize the impact and reach of UF graduate education and advanced research for all.
Driven by that vision, our mission is to create and curate conditions that enable successful individual and institutional outcomes for the 16,000 students, 800 postdocs, 3,000 faculty members, and 400 staffers whom we serve and support across campus. We’re here to ensure and elevate the integrity and value of all you do.
In short, our vision and mission are laser-focused on you — and they are anchored in and shaped by these five core values:

Integrity
Fostering academic excellence through sincerity and soundness in our policies and programming.

Advocacy
Proactively championing the interests and needs of graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and staff.

Inclusion
Stewarding opportunities for graduate students and postdocs of all backgrounds, positions, and perspectives.

Collaboration
Partnering with academic units, degree programs, and the broader campus community to support graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Innovation
Promoting advances in our students’ and postdocs’ academic excellence and research ingenuity through commitment to innovation in our programs and processes.
