The UF Postdoctoral Association and National Postdoctoral Association open doors to networks of support for you as a UF postdoc.
The UF Postdoctoral Association (UFPDA) is a volunteer organization run by UF postdocs for UF postdocs. It provides postdocs amid the Gator Nation with a collective voice and engaging opportunities for social interaction, career building, and campus visibility.
The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) is the voice of more than 70,000 postdocs at 300 institutions in the United States. It aims to improve the postdoctoral experience by raising awareness, enhancing professional growth, and collaborating with stakeholders in the research community.

Membership in the UF Postdoctoral Association (UFPDA) is free to any postdoc at the University of Florida or a UF-affiliated institution. Its mission is to:
- Build and strengthen the postdoctoral community.
- Enhance the visibility of postdoctoral scholars’ roles.
- Create and improve professional development opportunities.
- Publicize existing and emerging resources for postdoctoral success.
- Advocating with regard to postdoc issues together with the UF Postdoctoral Affairs.
