CVP: Campus Visitation Program

Fall 2026 CVP will run November 11-13, 2026:

• Wednesday, November 11 · Hotel check-in
• Thursday, November 12 · Full day of programming
• Friday, November 13 · Wrap-up and hotel check-out

To apply for CVP, you must...

• Plan to apply for admission to a UF PhD or MFA program in the future.
• Be an undergraduate junior or senior, a currently enrolled master’s student, or a post-baccalaureate applicant.
• Have at least a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) from a regionally accredited institution.
• Be a United States citizen or permanent resident. (International students currently enrolled at a U.S. college or university may be considered.)

To apply for CVP, please submit...

• Your online application form.
• Your unofficial transcripts from all higher education institutions attended.
• Your statement of purpose (no more than two pages, double-spaced), detailing...
  • Your academic and professional goals.
  • How CVP participation and graduate study will advance those goals.
  • Why you want to pursue a graduate degree at UF.
  • Your research or scholarly interests and any UF faculty whose work aligns with them.
• A faculty letter of recommendation.
• A research or scholarly abstract that reflects your current or most recent academic work (undergraduate research, master’s degree research, capstone project, or other significant piece of scholarship), including...
  • The title of the project or endeavor.
  • A summary (250-300 words) of objectives, methods, key findings, or scholarly impact.
  • Confirmation that your faculty advisor, instructor, or supervisor reviewed and approved your abstract.
