Grinter Fellowship
A bonus for exceptional Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Fine Arts students bound for UF
Dr. Linton Elias Grinter (1902-1993)
Dr. Grinter served as UF’s Graduate Dean and Director of Research from 1952 to 1969. Both this graduate fellowship and the Graduate School’s home base of Grinter Hall are named in honor of his memory.
University of Florida academic units have access to the Grinter Fellowship as added incentive in recruiting new, truly exceptional Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Fine Arts students into their degree programs at UF.
This fellowship includes a stipend ranging from $2,000 to $4,000. Funding is for up to three years (for Doctor of Philosophy students) or two years (for Master of Fine Arts students).
