BRIDGE (Building Retention in Doctoral Graduate Education) helps newly admitted Grad Gators transition into their University of Florida doctoral degree programs through a blend of online and in-person programming that builds both skills and networks vital to academic success:
- Online programming starts in Summer B Semester with the BRIDGE Canvas course, covering essential topics like academic writing, statistics, and research methods.
- In-person programming follows on campus for two days of face-to-face workshops and peer networking.
- Participants then engage in a six-week cohort program.
To participate in BRIDGE, you must...
- Be a newly admitted UF doctoral student who is starting Fall Semester.
- Have received your offer of admission by May 1.
- Commit to participating online and in person for an average of five to eight hours a week.
- Be enrolled for the upcoming Fall Semester as a full-time doctoral student.
