Application cycle opens Monday, October 26, 2025 and close Friday, December 4, 2026.
Sessions meet 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays from January 21, 2027 through March 11, 2027.


IMAGE — Inclusive Mentor Academy for Graduate Education — provides you with the background and expertise to mentor high school, undergraduate, and early-stage graduate students confidently, through a nationally validated mentorship curriculum.

In eight 90-minute sessions over eight weeks in a single semester, IMAGE will lead you through hands-on learning and real-time reflection to teach you how to communicate effectively, set clear expectations, and nurture different kinds of learners — a definite boost when applying for roles or jobs that require leadership and mentorship savvy. All sessions are in-person on the UF campus.

This interdisciplinary program is open to UF graduate students and postdocs across all fields — and can be taken as a two-credit graduate course, IDS 6805 Inclusive Mentoring Academy for Graduate Education. (Non-credit enrollment is also an option.)

To apply for IMAGE, you must...

  • Be a current graduate student or postdoc at the University of Florida
  • Be free time-wise to complete all eight 90-minute sessions
