GSOA: An Added Incentive

This UF Graduate School initiative helps degree programs across campus recruit and retain top-notch Grad Gators.

University of Florida academic units have access to Graduate School Opportunity Awards (GSOA) as an extra tool to attract the best and the brightest Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Fine Arts students into their degree programs at UF.

This is a four-year award that helps cover research or teaching assistantships at half-time level, in alignment with UF policy for employing recruited doctoral students.

Though funded by the UF Graduate School, GSOAs are distributed at the discretion of colleges and departments across campus to recruit and retain superlative students in their degree programs.
